DailyTrust reports that the protest, dubbed “National Day of Action Against Corruption and for Good Governance,” will be held in Abuja and Lagos.
Announcing the protest to reporters in Abuja, NLC President Ayuba Wabba said the unions would submit a petition to the federal government outlining their demands.
The demands include reviewing the minimum wage and paying overdue salaries to workers.
Mr. Wabba said the unions plan to protest at the state level, too. He added that all Nigerians have the right to protest, regardless of whether or not they obtain permission from the police to do so.
