WT! Cat turns into an old woman in Lagos

What's really happening? Earlier today a bird turned into an old woman in port harcourt, now a cat has also turned into an old woman in Lagos. Which animal is next to turn?

According to residents of the area, the cat was stoned by a young boy and it turned into an old woman. She was taken to the police station after the youths in the area had attacked her, inflicting serious injuries on her. More photos below...

OMG! Bird turns into a woman in Port Harcourt

According to this Facebook user EFCC Chiko, he was there when the incident happened.
In his words...

"This morning along Agip, Port-Harcourt a bird that was flying got electrocuted and fell. The little terrified boy standing behind the signpost rushed to pick the bird and immediately it turned to this wretched horrifying looking dead woman.
Making everyone run (even those shouting the BLOOD OF JESUS)."

OMG! You won't believe how this former model looks like now

Models never look better than they did while they were on the runway.
Janice Dickinson’s exotic looks drew us in and held us close but the success that she enjoyed led her to live a life of exuberance.

She tried to keep herself looking good with surgery but it left her face looking pulled tight and tired.

Drake hospitalized for food poisoning

According to TMZ, sources close to the Canadian rapper says “he ate some bad sushi on Monday, and it messed up his stomach… it was so bad he had to get medical treatment immediately.

It wasn’t enough though … he was still too sick to go onstage, which seriously pissed off the entire arena full of fans who’d already been waiting in their seats for 75 minutes when they got the bad news.”

Facebook introduces 'FACEBOOK STORIES'

At long last, Facebook’s Snapchat-apeing saga is complete: Stories is now rolling out to everyone on Facebook proper, after landing on Instagram, WhatsApp, and Messenger over the past several months. Along with it comes a filter-tastic new in-app camera, as well as a direct messaging feature.

Stories has been on trial in a number of countries since at least January, so we have a fair idea of what to expect. Which is to say, it works exactly like on Instagram; Stories live above your News Feed for 24 hours, and can include both videos and images with a variety of filter effects. There’s even now a dedicated camera button on the top left of the app to serve as a constant reminder to post some goofy filtered-up photo.

But to Facebook, the filters are more than just trivial additions. People are sharing more visual content than ever, and these effects are a way to augment and provide context for the moments being shared on screen. To my surprise, the company actually acknowledged Snapchat as the “pioneer” in the space during a press event, noting that its new push is ultimately a reflection of the visual nature of today’s communication.

It has a small team of artists creating the filters, and works to adapt the filters for each region so that they are relevant to everyone using them (such as using different slang text in different countries). It’s also partnering with various brands for themed filters, including Power Rangers, Minions, and Wonder Woman masks, and intends to introduce “new ways for the Facebook community to create their own frames and effects” in the coming months.

One area Facebook is a bit different from other apps is that you have the option to share Stories directly onto your Timeline and News Feed as well, giving them a bit more visibility by placing them among standard posts. You can also now share 24-hour media with only a few specific people via a ‘Direct’ feature.

On Instagram, at least, we know that Stories have been hugely successful. The company shared that over 150 million people were using the feature in January, just five months after it was introduced.

That might be because Instagram is arguably the most similar in nature to Snapchat, with its visual emphasis on quick sharing. Anecdotally, at least, the feature hasn’t been quite as popular on WhatsApp, where user’s have clamored for its removal.

We’ll have to wait and see how it does on Facebook proper. Stories are clearly a huge push for the company, and the fact that they live above your News Feed is remarkable, considering the latter has always been your main way of experiencing media on the social network. After all, Facebook could have gone the WhatsApp route and kept the feature in a separate tab you could basically ignore. But it didn’t.

Whatever your take on Stories, it’s clear the format is here to stay. These new features should be rolling out to everyone on Facebook starting today.

Man sentenced to prison for stealing 170naira from a chemist shop

A 22-year-old young man who reportedly stole money at a chemist’s shop in old Karmo Market, has been sentenced to prison by a Grade I Area Court sitting in Abuja on Tuesday.

A Karmo Grade I Area Court in Abuja on Tuesday sentenced one Wisdom Gabriel, 22, to two-month imprisonment for stealing N170 at a chemist’s shop in old Karmo Market.

The judge, Mr. Abubakar Sadiq, however, gave the convict N5,000 option of fine.

The judge said the sentence would serve as a deterrent to others that may be tempted to commit similar crime.

Gabriel, who resides at Aiko Estate, Life Camp Gwarinpa, pleaded with the judge to temper justice with mercy.

He was found guilty on one-count charge of stealing a box containing N170.

The convict told the court that satan pushed him into the crime.

Earlier, the prosecutor, Zannah Dalhatu, had told the court that one Helen Atusu of old Karmo arrested and brought the convict to Karmo Police Station on March 24, 2017.

Dalhatu said the complainant said that on the same date, the convict broke into her chemist’s shop at old Karmo Market and made away with her box containing N170.

She raised the alarm, which led to the arrest of the convict with the help of one Chukwuma Eze.

The prosecutor said the offence was punishable under Section 287 of the Penal Code.

Inhaling fart is good for the health. Top 5 reasons why fart is good

No use denying it: you fart.

Everyone does. And that’s actually a good thing.
This is not only normal, it’s healthy.
Gases build up in the colon as the result of undigested food. A healthy person farts an average of 20 times a day.

Gas production can increase due to poor digestion of certain foods, food sensitivity or intolerance (e.g., celiac disease, lactose intolerance), bacterial overgrowth in the small intestine, or the presence of some forms of bacteria in the digestive system that produce more gas than others.

Why It’s Good To Fart
No, you won’t explode if you don’t release pent-up gas but here are some valid reasons that you’re better off letting it fly.

1. Relieves Bloating
We all know what abdominal bloating feels like; it’s quite uncomfortable, making you feel like an over-inflated tire. Bloating can be caused by illness but is much more likely from something you ate (1).

Legumes like beans and lentils are musical fruits, indeed. Grains like wheat, rye, and barley can also make your digestive system work overtime, trapping gas and making you feel bloated and overly full. There’s no other real remedy for bloating than release through a good fart.

Increased discomfort occurs when you can’t get the gas out—try the wind relieving yoga pose to help your intestines to push it out.

2. Indicates Digestive Health
Gut bacteria are essential for health. When they become imbalanced or there aren’t enough of the good kind, food isn’t broken down properly or efficiently. By the time waste gets to your colon, it’s not been as thoroughly processed as it should be.

Beneficial bacteria in your body (and there are 100 trillion of them) break down food, help to eliminate metabolic waste, monitor and destroy harmful bacteria, and perform a host of other necessary activities. Having an ample supply is crucial for overall health; there is growing evidence that imbalance of gut bacteria can even affect the brain, leading to anxiety and depression (2).

If you fart around the average amount, it’s an indication that the micro-organisms in your lower digestive tract are working properly.

3. Flatulence and Diet
Farting can give you an idea on whether or not your diet suits your body.

If you don’t fart much, it may mean your gut bacteria aren’t getting necessary nourishment. They feed on complex carbohydrates. Eat more legumes (beans, lentils), whole grains, cruciferous vegetables (brussels sprouts, cabbage, bok choy, broccoli, cauliflower, etc.), and onions. That should do the trick.

Women tend to begin to toot more at or around menopause due to hormone changes. Add probiotics to your diet for balance. Fermented foods are the best source of probiotics: kefir, sauerkraut, kombucha, miso, and yogurt are prime examples.

Dark chocolate (cocoa content 70% minimum), apple cider vinegar, and ginger are also great supporters of the digestive system and are “prebiotics”: food for the probiotics.

4. S/he Who Smelt it Dealt it
How your farts smell says a lot about what’s going on inside your body. The air that exits your rectum is comprised of several different gases, none of which have an especially horrendous aroma.

If you find that your farts start to stink on a regular basis, it could be a sign of a food sensitivity/allergy (e.g., lactose or gluten) or an infection in the digestive tract (3). Or something as simple as eating too much garlic or meat.

Make incremental adjustments to your diet and pay attention to how the smell of your farts change.

5. Inhaling Farts is Good for You
Sounds paradoxical but one of the gaseous compounds abundant in your fragrant posterior expulsions is hydrogen sulfide. The sulfur part is what causes the rotten egg smell.

Research has found that sulfide gas in small doses may prevent cell damage. This may have applications in the prevention and treatment of arthritis, heart disease, and stroke (4).

The study doesn’t specify if it’s best to breathe in your own farts or someone else’s. How someone came up with the idea of a constructive use for flatulence is another issue entirely.

Good news for the farting public: most digestive gas is released while you sleep, when your sphincter is at rest. You can’t hold it in when you’re not aware you’re doing it. Sweet dreams.

Man uproots and moves his mansion after government threatens to demolish it

A man in China decided to move his home instead of demolishing it
The government had asked 165 homes had been asked to move for new road
Three-storey house was moved 150 metres away to new location on March 21
A man in China was so determined to keep his house that he moved it 492 feet to avoid being demolished.

Owners of 165 homes in Taixing City, China's Jiangsu province were told by the government that they would be demolished to make way for a new highway.

The relocation was completed on March 21, costing the man 120,000 yuan (£13,959), reports the People's Daily Online.

Villagers were told that their houses had to make way for a new provincial highway and were offered compensation.

But one villager decided that he did not want to part with his three-storey property, opting to move the entire house 150 metres costing 120,000 (£13,959).

He was also compensated by the government for moving his house.

Relocating the property took two days and it was completed on March 21.

The house was moved by wooden rollers.

Images show the house in the process of moving as other villagers look on.

Demolitions are common events in China as smaller cities look to grow and bring in vital cash to the area.
